The Premier League season will begin on the weekend of August 5/6/7 – with the first game, Crystal Palace vs Arsenal, live on Sky Sports on Friday August 5.

- Once that is done, find the email that we sent you (remember to check your junk) and click the link to join the league.
- Create your fantasy team, and then you are in the league (some top tips for picking a team can be found further down)
- Play throughout the year to win prizes (you could win some great prizes, even if you don’t win, so don’t worry too much, just get involved!)

Top Tips to Win the League
Fantasy football is mostly about the strategy, with a lot of luck, and there’s a lot of different ways to play. But if you want to win your league, one of our top tips is to make sure you’re staying on top of your team.
First, make sure your players are not injured! Sounds so simple, but this is a key area where people often drop points. Another thing that you need to look at is which teams your players are playing against in that week. Are they playing a difficult opponent who are likely to score lots of goals? These are also key things to consider when choosing your team week in week out.
Here’s another tip: look for a player who has been overlooked by other managers/undervalued in your opinion. This could be an excellent way for you to get ahead of the competition!
How to Choose your Squad… (Top Player Picks)
Choosing your team in fantasy football can feel difficult, especially when you don’t watch football too much. No need to worry, we have put together a list of the top performers from last season, as well as some of the top transfers to look out for this season. You will receive a total of £100m to purchase 15 players when creating your team.
- Erling Haaland – With a combined total of 62 goals already in the German Bundesliga, Haaland’s move to Manchester City could be a game changer for fantasy football players. Oh, did we mention he is still only 21 years old? You can grab Haaland in fantasy football for £11.5m
- Mo Salah – Along with another player on this list, Mo Salah was the joint top scorer last season and has been so far four out of his five seasons at Liverpool. Enough said. He will be a very expensive choice however, coming in at £13m.
- Heung Min Son – The other top scorer from last season, Son is a very popular pick among fantasy football players, with a strong resume of goals. You can get Son in your team for a large £12m.
- Trent Alexander Arnold – For a defender priced at just £7.5m Trent is a must have player. He hit the 200-point mark last season and we don’t see him slowing down any time soon.
- Raheem Sterling – Sterling’s move to Chelsea has made him a top pick for any FPL player. He is expected to play a key role in the Chelsea squad this season and pick up even more goals than he did last year. His price point is a reasonable £10m
Choosing the right defenders in fantasy football is something a lot of people struggle with. You need to find the right balance of defenders who will get a few goals, lots of assists and have the best chance of keeping a clean sheet. Picks such as Trent Alexander Arnold, Robertson, Cancelo and Reece James are great options to consider.
